The agriturismo (agricultural tourist site)
Oasi Basciana
attends you in every season of the year, among
culture, sport, relax, tradition and good cuisine.
The spontaneity and the familiarity with which the
activity is managed try to make the guests feel as
if at home, where the dimension of naturalness in
which the agriturismo is founded shines
throughout even more. Anywhere you lean out you are
surrounded by the green woods, valorous sowed lands
and vigorous pastures. The sight of the imposing
Etna mountain at the horizon is fascinating.
Here you are fortunate in every moment of the day,
from your awakening up to night, thanks also to the
circular disposition of the rooms (all endowed with
a bathroom), which offer you a spectacular sight of
the Nature, Sun, Moon and Stars, reason why the
corresponding rooms have been named the same way.
Furthermore, if you are eager to detach from the
frantic routine and to rest your mind and body, you
can regenerate, putting yourself in contact with the
nature, laying down under one of our innumerable
plants, the so-called “Quercia della Nonna”
(Grandmother's Oak), reading a beautiful book, or
tasting the Nicosia cuisine of Mrs. Ina.
That cuisine will be protagonist along with you, if
you desire to celebrate the most beautiful moments
of your life together with relatives and friends.
The agriturismo Oasi Basciana is
preferred from those people that love to go
trekking, make excursions by horse or with bikes,
thanks to the presence of practicable paths, and
from who wants to pick up the famous asparaguses (in
the spring season) and the blackberries (in the
summer season).
Besides the activities to be developed on the site,
it is possible to reach in few minutes of drive
Nicosia, the “city of the 24 Barons”, visiting
the many churches and baronial buildings, the
stately Cathedral with it’s Wooden Roof known
all over the world, the native house of our
co-patron and fellow townsperson St. Felice from
Nicosia, the rests of the ancient Norman Castle,
that in 1065 became the fortitude of Count
Ruggero.
At 8 Km. from Nicosia it is possible to visit
Sperlinga, an ancient little town famous for
it’s historical Medieval Castle. |
